Assume it's safe.
Even the person who addressed this issue in the IR-FAQ did only cover
the window out of mere precaution, he never had actual fogging
problems. Then the rumour ran it's due course....;-((
More concrete: I have used the 9000 with great results. One of my
pictures that Cor hopefully will show the coming days is taken with
this camera and a 14mm lens.
I never even bother thinking about this window actually....;-))
