The fact that it's a *stop* bath means that it is acid, so you may
want to try clear water instead.
This seems to be a very mysterious subject, with personal experiences
varying widely. The worst problem I've had was when I sent Ektachrome
IR to a regular commercial lab (when E-4 was still standard) and got
bright red dots scattered around on the resulting slides. When I
switched to Kodak processing I never had the experience again. But
the point is that it's not just home processing that suffers from
pinholes.
