You are very lucky to have located the book.  If you decide not to
purchase it please let me know, as I will.  This is the best book, bar
none, on infrared photography, and will give you more information than
you care to know.  There is an updated version of the book (I think
1976?) that is slightly better, but you'll be using your $45 in the best
means possible if you are truly interested in learning about IR.
