I don't think this book is very useful for practical use. You are
much better off with modern books, one of which the author is
present on this list....;-))
That said, I am surprised to see this book offered as is, without a
hint of a collectors item. Walter Clark is one of the Godfathers of
infrared film, working for Kodak Research Laboratories in Rochester,
at which IR-film was developed in the late 30's and early 40's.
(I still haven't gotten around in translating a chapter from Guenter
Spitzings German book "Moderne Infrarot und UV-Fotografie", in which
Walter Clark is interviewed....darn, will try to finish that this weekend)
Anyway; not sure how many of these books are still around, but as a
collector of IR literature, I am very interested in obtaining this book.
I recently received a copy of the 1981 Kodak book Applied Infrared
Photography, (thanks Cagdas!) and even though quite dated for
practical use, it is interesting to read, if only to spot the
differences with 'modern' times.
Make your listowner happy, and lead him to the source of this book!
(how's that for a compelling line, eh?....;-))
Oh, btw, according to other IR-book reverences, there is also a 1946
print of this book, and an article from his hand in Photo Technique
3, page 50-55, "Atmospheric haze".
