George-- The Ilford film extends into such a low range of infrared, that I
have to agree with Ilfords designation of the film as -a film with extended
red sensitivity-. It responds very much like a panchromatic film, even with
filtration, because the red sensitivity is so low. It could never compete
with Kodak infrared or even Konica, which has a lower sensitivity than Kodak
infrared. Ilford will not designate it an infrared film and they make the
film.
