I too, have forgotten to fill in a "Bio" ... thanks Nick! for reminding me ...
Name: Tammy Sullivan
Profession/Study: Nuclear Engineer and Professional Photographer
Country: Connecticut/USA
Personal history of photography: Have always had a camera in hand since I can
remember. I have no formal training in photography and all that I have learned
was through reading, listening and watching. I have no printing experience
whatsoever either but still find immense valuable information from the group.
I was introduced to wedding photography in 1990, when I was asked by a
desperate relative to photograph her wedding. I did it, was hooked and now 6
years later I work for one of the top wedding photojournalists in the northeast
and also cover events on my own locally. I am gearing up to leave my full time
job (at 31) and venture into this strange world in the next 2 years. Presently
working on my CPP certification.
Preferred subjects: For my professional business I strictly photograph
weddings and
events. I also do the occasional family/children outdoor enviro type
portraits. My bulldog
"McDuff" and my husband are always at my disposal for when I am in need of
subjects. :)
Materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): For black and white work I use
Kodak HIE (I don't print it but have a local lab take care of that for me). I
also like Tri-X and TMax films. I love the look of b/w on Ektalure papers and
the occasional sepia or sellenium tone.
Format: 35mm (Nikon N09s) and 6x6 (Hasselblad 503CXi)
Other strange hobbies: I don't think any of these classify as strange, but I
do enjoy underwater photography and will be experimenting with HIE in my
Nikonos V this winter.
I enjoy travel, skiing, scuba, cooking, flying.
How did you find out about this list: By accident when I was searching for
sites on infrared photography.
Expand on anything photographic you like: I am intriguied by HIE and continue
to discover all it has to offer. I enjoy hand coloring my b/w prints and now
have moved over to also tinting infrared images. My favorite subjects for
infra are children and of course, outdoor wedding ceremonies.
