Unfortunately, here in the US we have become a litigous society where
the bounds of common sense no longer apply.  For instance, in this
week's Sunday paper I read an article about a man who worked for an
older person.  After gaining this person's trust he kidnapped the old
man and is now serving time in jail.  The twist is that he is suing the
old man for back pay.  He'll probably win. <g>

As an author myself (I've written about 100 articles on a variety of
subjects) I would be quite sad if anyone was interested in the
information I wrote about that was published in magazines that no longer
exist, and they were prevented from obtaining it because of silliness
such as this.  The letter of the law may say one thing, common sense and
sensibility occasionally say something else.
