     Folks,

Could we please stop arguing about this, it is boring,
repetitive and it hasn't helped me make better IR or UV
     photos yet....

The simple fact of the matter is, that in this particular
case this is a victimless crime, if it is a crime at all.

If this copyright belongs to Kodak, fuck'em! They had over
$14 billion is sales last year and I seriously doubt they
care about this book that hasn't been pulished in almost
50 years. If they do happen to care about it -oh well, you
snooze/you lose (Rip Van Winkle didn't even sleep that long.)

Useless laws weaken the necessary laws. Copyright protection
may, or may not, be a necessary law but in this case it is
useless, it has been broken, nobody cares and nobody can do
     anything about it.

Can I look myself in the mirror and say I am proud of what
I have done, thought about doing or was going to do? Yes. Just
as much as if I were going to smoke pot tonight (illegal in
my country) have anal sex tonight (illegal in many states in
my country) hire a prostitute tonight (illegal in almost all
states in my country), marry a member of the same sex
(illegal in my country) or hand out clean needles to drug
addicts (illegal in most states in my country.)

None of these things are hurting anyone [except maybe the anal
sex part, but I guess some people like it so who am I to say
anything :-) ] and so I will not honor the laws that forbid
them. Furthermore, just because something is legal doesn't
make it right anymore than something that being illegal is
necessarily wrong (after all, wasn't slavery once legal?)

And no, I am not in a bad mood - this is how I was born.

     Adam.
