If look looked at my first post, I only suggested the the topic be looked
at. I am an attorney from the U.S. and have not given opinion, only raised a
topical issue. The respondents have raised the issue to asserting their
beliefs as to whether the copyright has lapsed or not; wether it should
control, etc. I have not quoted the law, which was researched by another
poster and it only raised additional issues. Now it seems the book's rights
may have been acquired by Kodak which could raise additional questions. My
only advise in this matter has been that the research should be done as to
the topic before doing an act which may have legal consequences. 

Considering the amount of members who have researched the law and/or book,
my question has produced a positive result. And others my learn from it, or
at least be aware of the potential issues.
