I've got the use of a flatbed, and could scan in your 5x7 print if you
like.  Send me mail and I can give you the address to ship to.

As for the fuzzy contact, the only idea that hasn't already been explored
is whether the person put a sheet of glass on top of the negatives to hold
them on the paper.  I can't imagine making a contact without it, so
it's a pretty unlikely possibility, but I'm throwing it out anyway.

P.S.  Actually I *can* imagine not using a glass cover, because I've
done that twice, now, and slapped my forehead both times.  As a consequence
I know EXACTLY what it looks like when that happens, and it's pretty
obvious what's going on.  This, of course, makes it even MORE likely
this isn't what's causing your fuzzy contacts.
