I too don't believe in pushing films.  I just found that the zone I speed
point for HP5+ developed in Microphen seemed to indicate an EI in excess of
400.  There seemed to be a real increase in shadow detail, not merely an
increase in contrast.  Otherwise you seem to bear out my feelings for the
apparent lack of sharpness that I encountered.
