BIO
Thanks to your quick response to my request to join the list. It;s hard to
know how we got by without the web in the past. You asked about me.....
My name is Marty Friedman I live in New York. I own a small Gallery/Frame
Shop in Mt. Kisco, a suburb of NYC. I've been involved in photography for
over 35 years, and I still find new and exciting things about it every day. I
hold a Master's Degree in Photogrpahy from CCNY. I taught it in High School
for ten years before opening my own business. The subjects I prefer to shoot
are mostly outdoors...scenics, but the most intersting to me are old barns
with lot's of details and interesting angles and such. Last year I took a
trip to Arizona to photograph ghost towns and ruins. I use 35mm and medium
format as well as panoramic 35mm.Most of my work is digitized and workd on
with photoshop then printed on my Kodak 8600 Dye sub printer. At work I do a
lot of restoration of old and damaged photos. Other strange hobbies include
woodworking and antique cars (I own a 1930 Model A Ford). I found out about
this list by just surfing the web and persuing INFRARED on various search
engines. I actually shot with IR over 30 years ago, and have now made a
complete circle and will once again persue its mysteries. I am looking
forward to expanding my experience online. Marty
