Cross process Color IR
> Hello,
> Yes, it is possible to cross process IE in C-41, BUT IT IS A HYBRID
> PROCESS that utilises components form C-41, E-6 and C-22:
> for 35mm colour infrared:
> Kodak C-41 flexicolour developer: 12 min
> wash in running water 4 min
> E-6 bleach 6 min
> wash 4 min
> E-6 fix 6 min
> wash 4 min
> C-22 hardener 4 min
> wash 15 min
> photoflo 1 min
> dry
> C-22 hardener comprises:
> 20 gms sodium carbonate
> 20 mls formaldehyde (37%)
> 4 gms quadrafos (calgon or sodium hexametaphosphate)
> Agitation is constant and temperature is kept at 21 degree centigrade
> throughout the process- this is imperative during development and should
> be maintained throughout the rest of the process to minimize risk of
> reticulation.
ALTERNATIVELY, harden the film in the C-22 hardener and then neutralize in
a EA-5 or E-4 neutralizer and wash. Then take the film to a processing lab
with C-41 and put the film through.
> I have just recvently formulated a good cross processing formula for 9.5
> inch Aerochrome 2443 and NP SO- 134 films. If anyone would like to know
> these formulas e- mail me and we may be able to work something out.
> Have fun,
> Regards,
> Jesse.
