To the Infrared Photography list:
- Name: Jan Boles
- Profession/Study: Artist/photographer
- Country:USA--Idaho (northwest; intermountain region)
- Personal history of photography: Active since 1960; commercial, photojournalism; college level
teaching. At present I participate in both invitational and juried exhibitions. In addition, I am
helping restore a photographic collection of glass plates and nitrate negatives (including
Cirkut) made between 1890 and 1936.
- preferred subjects: b/w panoramic landscapes (montaged)
- materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): TMax 100
- format (35mm/medium format/large format): 120 roll on 4x5 view camera
- Other strange hobbies: astrophotography
- How did you find out about this list: surfing the Web
- Expand on anything photographic you like: Since encountering Yoshikazu Shirakawa's "Himalayas"
and "Eternal America" in the 1970s, I have had a desire to work with 120 IR film. (I have used
4x5 IR since the start.) I hope that by joining this list I will obtain the needed information
about a source for the Konica film and at last fulfill this desire. Specifically: is there a West
Coast (preferably Seattle, WA) distributor for the Konica 120 IR film?
