Newbie Desperate Questions!!

I4m new to the list, so here4s my biography :

- Personal history of photography :began about 1 1/2 year ago shooting
stricktly B&W

- materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): Tri-X, none, Ilford MG IV
RCdeluxe, AGFA Rodinal for film and Ilford chemicals for paper

- format (35mm/medium format/large format): 35mm

- Other strange hobbies: Band guitar player (?? is that strange nowadays
??)

- How did you find out about this list: searched for it!!

- Expand on anything photographic you like: (couldn4t right get the
meaning of this...)

Well now that you already know where I come from and other stuff I beg
for your help....

I have a phew questions to make:

1)I bought today my first IR film, it4s a Kodad HIE. I began reading the
Data sheet and... suprise..  "Some developing tanks made of plastic are 
not suitable....".
I own a JOBO plastic developing tank.... is it suitable? (what if I
unload the camera into the tank, keep it in total darkness and then
proccess it in the dark? :)

2) As you may notested I use Rodinal to develop my Tri-X .... can I use
Rodinal also to develop HIE ??

3) I don4t have any filter at all, do I really need one? What are the
problems I can get caused by the absence of a filter (kodak N:25??)     

Well that4s all for know... It4s my first day at Infra Red world, more
doubts will come for sure :)
