I just remembered something that I left out of my post on 4x5 HIE. It
"fingerprints" very easily. The first couple of boxes I exposed had
irregular clear markings around the edges that under a loupe turned out to
be fingerprints. Wearing cotton
gloves to load and unload the holders solved that one. I've done it with
all of my sheet films since.
