I too am into astro-photography and hyper-sensitizing film (although I
am not the one in question here). Either a very small world or all great
minds do thnk alike. :)
anyhow, I ahve never thought to try hyper sensitizing HIE or any IR
film because heat is usually involved in this process.
When i hyper my tech pan, I usually bake th efilm in a 8%hydrogen/92%
nitrogen gas for 42hours at 50C. Much less time for colour films.
My question is, would not the 50C be too hot for HIE or even Konica?
(I shoot both 35m and 120)
Hypering can be done at tempertures as low as 30C, althought it is much
slower at that speed. Would 30C bee to warm for HIE? Any suggestions?
Sounds like it would be fun to try it.
