I've used surgical gloves with good success.  However, the first time I used
them, I used them straight out of the box.  They are coated with a thin layer
of talc to make them easy to put on.  I didn't think about it and ended up
with black specs from the talc all over my prints.  The next time I used it
I put on the gloves and washed them (like I was washing my hands).  No more
talc spots!

If you have never loaded 4x5 IR before, be prepared for very thin, curly
film that is a bit hard to load, especially with gloves on.
