Hi,

An exhaust fan to outside only helps if it can suck the 
air in from another point so that you get a real air 
flow. I would suggest you make a lighttight slit in the 
wall opposite to the exhaust fan. Getting dirty air out 
only works when you get clean air in at the same time.
