Re: Konica IR 750 with tungsten lights
The fact that Konica 750 has two main sensitivity lobes, one in the IR
region and one at a shorter wavelength visible region, would tend to
make it a better choice for this "no filter" advice than HIE. Since
these light sources are not putting out very much light at one of the
lobes of sensitivity, the light source is "pre filtered" for it. Since
most of the remaining sensitivity lobe is in the IR region, this advice
may be worth a try. There would still be some contamination of imaging
light with visible spectrum that would not occur with a filter, but it
would be very slight. So the unique sensitivity curve of Konica 750
makes it a more reasonable choice for this advice than most other films.
