Bob Long responded to my "flare" problem, and to his response I now
reply......
My problem frames are relatively normal on the edges and the frames are
well contained within their 24X36mm limits. Only with close scrutiny do
I see a somewhat "hazy" central band, but for certain it is hard to see.
Maybe at this point, my eyes want to find it to explain the definite
dark streak to the central third of the prints I've done. Possibly this
zone of "haze" is not completely continuous from one end of the frame to
the other. Hard to tell with the subject matter (scenic with foliage and
sky). The foliage part definitely shows a darkened central portion of its
image. The sky is dark anyway, due to the #25 and polarizer.
