He got around it by not shooting IR. <g> I believe that it is possible
to replace the bellows, but he wasn't willing to go throught this
expense.

I don't. 99.9% of my images are shot at or near infinity, and as I stop
down to f22 I've found no need to do any adjustment. If any is
required, I would think "pull it back in just a nick" would be the right
approach (it's not as if the scales on my Crown Graphic hold much
meaning).
