Willem, funny you should remind me of the order I want to place with
Calumet Photographic, Inc. (890 Supreme Dr., Bensenville, IL 60106).
Calumet stocks polyester film equivalents of Wratten gels. They claim
these are substantially more durable than gels and can be cleaned quite
easily, as well. The recent brochure I have lists the Wratten #12 in a
75mm square as Stock # LE3712 for $8.05 US, 100mm square as #LE4712 for
$13.45 US. The numbers for the #16 are (predictably) LE3716 and LE4716.
A red #25 is LE3725 and LE4725, but the prices go up to $10.24 and $21.20
respectively. I was surprised to find a #87 also available for these
prices (equally predictable stock numbers)! Also at these prices is the
#58 green, which I like using with Ektachrome IR. Other Wratten
numbers listed are 3,8,11,15,21,23A at the lesser prices and 47B at the
higher prices. Also a large selection of color-correcting, neutral density,
UV correction, Fluorescent correction, 80A thru 80D, 81 thru 81EF and some
82 and 85 series conversion filters, too, all at the cheaper prices!
So there! Gentlemen, place your orders!1-800-225-8638/1-800-577-3686 FAX
just tell 'em I sent ya! :=)
Enjoy, Tim Coffer
