I used to use HC110 until I tried D76, which for me works much better.
There's really no need to presoak the film. Correct, HC110 will act
fast - way too quickly for my tastes. However, I cured that problem by
moving from the B dilution to the E dilution. Now that I've switched to
Xtol for the film I was using with D76, I'll be experimenting with this
developer and HIE when I start shooting IR again in another month or so.
