Note that the #87 is not a rigid resin filter, but a thin flexible
polyester one (0.1mm). But at least better than gelatine, as it is
dimensionally stable, and doesn't stick to your fingers....8-))
For those looking for Cokin-P compatible filters: be warned that a
85x85mm square is NOT the right size, in contrast what ads of several
brands claim. It will bind in the Cokin-P holder, and worse: it will
fatigue the middle slot, as the plastic spring is fully depressed.
You'll realize this only after a correct-sized 83x83mm drops through
it....8-((
This can become an even more expensive joke if you use a 82x82mm
glass enhancement filter....they are okay in a Cokin-P holder, but
not in a stressed one....autch!
I also have had bad experiences with Hitech, as the spectral
accuracy was way off with some IR filters. With a '#87C', I could
look through it easily(!)....I sent these back, but I strongly doubt they
did a recall on the filters already produced and sold, as I have seen
a few others produced months before....8-((
