Konica IR + wratten 87 = Blank frames

Hi all,

Just a note to tell others that tonight a roll of Konica 750 120 IR
was developed to reveal blank, or at best, faint images.

EXPOSURE @ 12 ASA, BRIGHT AFTERNOON, Wratten 87 gel filter.

DEVELOPED IN ILFORD ID11 1 + 1 for 11 Mins @20C

RESULTS:

(Film Rebate o.k. so film developed more or less o.k.)

-2 under BLANK

-1 under BLANK

0 VERY FAINT IMAGES

+1 FAINT IMAGE

+2 Still FAINT, NO SHADOW DETAIL AT ALL

So even at 3 ASA no usable image. This confirms a posting I read sone
time ago. Further confirmation may be found in WJ's pages in the
filter section, he states that while HIE may be used with 87,
practically the Konica may be used only up to the 89B.

There we have it, I will give the 87 a miss on the Konica and wait for
my 89B filter to arrive from WJ.

Has my letter arrived BTW ;-))
