I don't believe that there is a problem in the first place.  As long as
you use dark slides that have the five bumps you'll be just fine.  My
Riteway holders have served nicely for years without a problem.  I also
have Fidelity Elite holders that do NOT have these indicators and have
been told by a friend who used them that they leaked badly.  I also have
some wooden 8X10 holders.  The slides do not have five dots and I would
never think of using them (if I has 8X10 IR film).
