Konica and G2

I know that the contax G2 can't be used for Kodak B&W infrared because
of the ir beams used to determine film location but heard 2nd hand that 
Konic IR film because of it's sensitivity pattern could.  Can someone on 
the list confirm or deny this statement.  Thanks E. Nitka
