re:Wood and IR

I've been hearing the caveats about wood film holders and IR and I want to 
check something else out.

I bought a 6x9 roll film back and am building a wooden frame for it for 
pinhole work.  There will be about 1/2" of wood between the film back and the 
outside world.  Is this enough to block IR?  Also, I will be using 
black mattboard "bellows" and lensboards for some of my camera "fronts".  Is 
this a problem?  Should I wrap them in aluminum foil?
