I would think so. Without testing, I would assume that black mattboard
would not be IR opaque. I would also assume as much with any wood until
tested otherwise (I would guess that certain woods might be better than
others). I shoot 4X5 pinhole IR and have covered my wooden camera with
the plastic that one gets with photographic paper. I haven't noticed
any problems, besides the fact that the thing looks like hell. Then
again, pinhole cameras should look like trash. <g>
