I'd be careful not to stop down too far. IR film, and indeed ANY lens-film
system can create diffraction with a small aperture which actually degrades
resolution. Last year I shot some Konica IR in 35mm stopping a Nikon 28mm
lens all the way down to F16 or 22. I got some odd flare on highly
refelctive IR areas which actually worsened resolution. Every lens performs
best at a moderate aperture, such as f8.
