Another question comes to mind, regarding the Alden loader.......
I saw a used one for sale recently for half price and passed up on it
because it appeared to be missing a spool of some sort in the center
where the roll of film is placed. I say that because we looked the loader
up in a catalogue which showed a poor exploded view, and there
seemed to be a spool of about 1 inch diameter inside the loader. Perhaps
I could fashion something less elegant that would fill the void and support
the roll of film reasonably well. Is the part I think I'm missing absolutely
necessary and not to be substituted with an approximate replacement?
Just curious and thought I'd ask someone possessing a complete unit.
