Yep, there are metal cannisters that come with the cassettes. Both
empty and loaded cartridges are sold this way. A crude metal
cannister though, only friction keeps the lid in place, and they are
sealed with tape. You definately need those cannisters for 70mm HIE,
like you do with 35mm. Otherwise you would need to bulkload
piecewise, loading only the cartridge that immediately goes into the
camera (in the darkroom) instead of cutting down an entire roll in
several cartridges and storing them in the freezer.
