Changing bags and Infrared film OK for 5 years

Hi everyone,
I also use a changing bag for infrared film. The changing bags that I've
used all have a black rubber lining and an inner bag made of black mesh.
The rubber lining deteriorates over the years so I advise everyone to turn
the changing bag inside out once every so often to look for signs of deterioration.
I discovered this unfortunately when an important roll of film was completely fogged
after years of no such trouble.

Now I have a question for all of you.
I took a blue #47 on a red #25 on a green #58 which had a gold coating and looked through
it with one of those green image intensifiers. It looked like infrared to me.
Can anyone tell me what wavelengths I was "seeing"?
I am thinking this might be a handy way of "pre-visualizing" things that I want to photograph.
Hmmm. I wonder if I'll be able to see fish in the aquarium -- flourescent tubes emit a lot
of ultraviolet and not much infrared -- right??
Hank
