My introduction

Hello everybody.
I'm new to this mailing list, and this is my "biography form".

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

- - Name:
Pier Paolo Glave (or simply Pier)

- - Age:
  27

- - Profession/Study:
  Telecommunications Engineer

- - Country:
  Italy

- - Personal history of photography
I love photography since I was 14, but I made an important step about one
year ago, when I started shooting and developing/printing b&w photos.
I'm not a professional photographer: it's just a hobby for me.
I could say I love "image", in all its expressions.

- - preferred subjects:
I don't know clearly what is my preferred subject.
When shooting b&w, I like to make photograph of cities by night, but also
expressive portraits... and some photos of ancient doors I made last summer
  were good, too...

- - materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):
  Films: for b&w, I like sensitive films, like Kodak T-MAX 3200;
for slides, I like Fuji films.
Paper: the only paper I've tried is Ilford Multigrade.

- - format (35mm/medium format/large format):
  35mm.

- - Other strange hobbies:
I used to play piano and harmonica, but I haven't done it for years!
I spend a little of my time with aged people.

- - How did you find out about this list:
  By "Photoforum" mailing list.

My interest for IR started some months ago, when I was impressed by a reportage
on an italian magazine (named "Airone"): there were IR photos made in England,
I believe, showing old castles in a background of sky and grass. There was a
strange and dramatic atmosphere.

I haven't shot infrared yet, but I bought a couple of Kodak IR films, that I
intend to use after having listened to your advices and suggestions!

Feel free also to write me directly to my e-mail address: I like to communicate
with people, specially to improve my English (---forgive me for my mistakes!)

Bye

Pier
