Processing EIR

Bob (& everyone else),
I may have misrelayed what I heard from Kodak's customer service
people. Fair Lawn, NJ will be one of the Kodachrome processing labs.
I just got off the phone with The Big Yellow Box. BTW, don't try callng
them on a Monday morning, unless you like cauliflower ear! I quote The
Box as saying "Let me give you the 1-800 numbers for Fair Lawn
(1-800-345-6973) and Lermer (sp?) Lab in Rockville, MD
(1-800-345-6974) to see if they will be able to kill their IR sensors/video
cameras for processing EIR. If that doesn't get you satisfactory
answers, call us (Kodak) back. This is still in the early stages of being
set up." So there, seems The Box doesn't know everything, either! The
numbers they gave me were specific to my area, so if you aren't close to
DC, call Kodak (1-800-242-2424) and ask them about labs in your area.
maybe if they get a few thousand phone calls on the topic, they'll get it
up on their website! Maybe they'll come out with the film in 120/220 too!
:=)

PS: And check out the June issue of Shutterbug for some good shots on
EIR, as well as an example of cross-processed EIR.
Pretty soon, we'll all be singing "EI, EI Ohhhhh"! |=o

Someone has posted here, I believe, that the Fairlawn lab is
specifically one that will *not* be able to handle the E6 HIE because
it cannot turn off the IR sensors in its equipment.
