Hi, Dwight
I haven't used a two bath on 4x5 HIE but I have tried the Stoeckler
formula on 35mm, without much success. I had hoped the compensating
action might reduce the need to bracket but I just couldn't get decent
neg density with this combination. Increasing the temperature just
raised the base fog.
I've now joined the Rodinal users (at 1+50) and that does the business
for me.
Hope this helps,
Colin McKie
