No, I wouldn't. Years ago I suspected this as the cause of a problem a
club member had. During our discussion on technique I came to realize
that he didn't tap the tank following his first agitation. When I asked
why not he told me that it would probably crack the plastic. I lent him
my Patterson for his next roll of IR and the problem was solved. He
tossed his tank and purchased a decent one.
