No, in researching for an article on EIR I had a chance to speak with
Kodak's IR guy. This was one of the questions I asked him. EIR is a
complete redo, as opposed to a minor change. I "think" that it was left
out because it is on a thinner base, which (BTW) might cause some
problems with the machines that cut the film following processing.
