- - Profession/Study:  Human Factors/Usability Consultant -- Basically, I human
                     engineer software applications (mostly large,
object-oriented
                     ones for Fortune 500 companies).

- - Country:  USA

- - Personal history of photography:  Been interested all my life and could
finally
         afford to buy a 35mm camera last July before a vacation to
Colorado.  Have 
         been an avid hobbyist since then.

- - preferred subjects:  Still figuring that one out, but I love macro
photography.

- - materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):
   Film:  Kodak Ektar 25, Fuji Reala, Kodak Royal Gold, T-Max, Kodak HIE, Velvia
   Filters:  Mainly use 25A for B&W/IR and a polarizing filter occasionally
   Paper:  Ilford RC-Multigrade (Pearla, I think)
   Chemistry:  D-76, Color slide, Ilford Ilfosol

- - format (35mm/medium format/large format):  
   35mm (Minolta 700si) but just bought a Bronica SQ-B

- - Other strange hobbies:  ???  none, really

- - Expand on anything photographic you like:

Being a "newbie" (1 year), I'm still figuring out what I like, but I've
learned a LOT.  I like pretty much everything and get the most enjoyment out
of macro and wide-angle photography.  However, I also seem to get a lot of
enjoyment out of manipulating my photos in Photoshop.  I'm not trained in
art and have a difficult time "seeing" compositions, but I'm discovering
that it's sometimes more fun to create your own than to look for them in the
environment.
