Name:  Angela Estes-Ogden

Profession/Study:  Work in a photo shop part time; as a photo
assistant infrequently; odd photo jobs from occasional weddings to
actor's head shots; and shoot my own photography and try to get shows.


Country:  USA

Photographic Background:  My father encouraged me to be a photographer
when I was 17.  Unfortunately, I thought I wanted to be a writer and
didn't rediscover photography until years later.  Since then I have
taken numerous photo classes at the local community college.  My
tastes tend to run towards alternative processes; although I'm afraid
most of my work is much more conventional.

Subjects:  Using infrared film, I shoot mostly landscapes.  Using
cross-processed color slide film, I shoot mostly urban
architecture/people/street photography.  A lot of what I shoot, with
any film, is what I see on the streets-small town or city.

Materials:  Kodak Infrared-35mm (although I want to try the 4X5, but
haven't had the opportunity yet.)  For cross-processing, my favorite
film is Ektachrome 160T-35mm.

Other Strange Hobbies:  I am a thrift store/garage sale junkie.  I
collect odd paraphernalia from the late 50's/early 60's and have
everything from old record album covers to 50's dishware.  I also
listen to modern swing music (Squirrel Nut Zippers, Royal Crown Revue,
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy) and love to go listen to swing music at Bimbo's
in San Francisco.
