Thanks for the info.  You can tell that I'm not too savy with the P&S
cameras, as I wasn't thinking in terms of having no way to put a filter
in front of the lens (I'm assuming that there is no way other than
holding one with one's fingers).  I mmay still get one for non-IR use
anyway.
