But the IR-sensitive layer as such still does, yet one cannot have a
focus shift that suits the entire spectrum. The IR-layer is
sensitive up to 900nm, and the other visible layers start at 450nm
(with a #12 filter, otherwise it would run well below 400nm, just
like HIE without filter).
What can be tackled with a focus shift in case of HIE can only be
tackled with closing aperture or using an APO lens in case of
Ektachrome IR....there is no other way to get this spectral range in
focus....
