Ask for the B+W 'Digital' filter, #486, a filter that cuts out both
IR and UV, for use with digital and video cameras. It is colorless,
with a nearly flat 90% transmission from 420nm to 670nm, dipping to
10% at 370nm and 720nm.
I think the 489 is mainly a thermal-IR filter, like the ones you find
in slide projectors.
