Overexposed
I finally shot and developed my first IR film (a Kodak HIE), but with great
disappointment I obtained very dense, overexposed negatives.
I don't think that any of the negatives will result in acceptable prints,
except for 3 or 4 of them, which are, surprisingly enough, rich in the shadows.
Can anyone of you Sherlock Holmes of IR tell me what could be wrong?
These are my data:
- - Camera: Ricoh KR-10M with Sigma 28-70 and red filter.
- - Exposition: I tried to expose the film for 50 ASA; as my camera sets on 100
by default (without a DX code), I set a +1 compensation.
- - Development: T-MAX 1+4 - 25 degrees (C) - 9 minutes (the table I had gave me
7 minutes; I added 2 min. because it was the 5th time I used that T-MAX
solution) - agitation 5s every 60s.
I received two phone calls during the developing session: could this be the
problem :-) ?!!!
Thank you and have a good time!
