Bleed Off the Frame with IR

I recently shot my first roll of HIE in quite a while.  One of the
photographs was of a fairly dark room with light coming through some of the
cracks between the boards of the wall.  The bright light streaks that were
created went right off the frame.  I am wondering how this happened.  The
