RE: Filter between the rails
In regard to mounting a filter between the rails which I suggested in the PSA
Journal many moons ago, I find that most (I have yet to see one that does not)
cameras have enough space to accomodate the Wratten gelatin filters + the thin
adhesive tape to hold it in place.
Alternatively, the filter can be _carefully_ mounted in front of the shutter
curtain frame but still behind the main mirror.
CAUTION: mounting filter materials in these places is something that should be
done VERY carefully and making sure the adaptation is possible and that you do
not stick your finger or some other implement into the shutter curtain or allow
debris to fall into the shutter mechanism.
If the filter is close to the image plane small dust particles may cast shadows
