Sorry if I caused any confusion. You should definnetely use a Yellow #12
filter over your lens when you try this technique. The reason your negatives
are so dense is because all three layers of the EIR emulsion are sensitive to
blue light. If you don't use a #12 yellow filter (also known as a minus blue
filter) then all three emulsion layers are exposed more than they should be,
hence the dense negatives. Next time try an ISO of 200, 100, or 50, and use
TTL metering through the filter.
