Larry --
I rate it at ISO 6 through a #25 red filter, metering with
a handheld meter. In other words, I set the meter to ISO 6
and set the aperature accordingly.
ISO 6 doesn't give me what I consider to be an acceptable
depth of field for photographing people in the studio, using
my 2 750WS (I may be wrong on that rating) monolights, so
I now only use this film out-of-doors. If you have more
powerful strobes or less stringent requirements for depth
of field, definitely try it. The tones are beautiful;
unfortunately my application for the film is photographing
people with extensive tattoo work, for which depth of
field is critical.
I've considered trying to find non-UV coated flash tubes for
my strobes, on the theory that the UV coating also blocks IR.
These are Photogenic strobes, b.t.w. Does anyone have any
experience using both UV coated and uncoated flash tubes
with IR film?
