split tone

I kow exactly what is meant by split toning Old Portriga Rapid. It was a
very subtle and gorgeous effect, not reproducible by anything else on the
market. Around 1990 AGFA quit putting Cadmium salts in Portriga Rapid due
to environmental laws which came into effect and the paper has been a pale
imitation of its old self since then. Once in a while I find a bizarre East
German warm tone paper from Freestyle in L.A. which has similar properties,
but that is unpredictable.
